Israeli Occupation Forces confirms death of lieutenant colonel

The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) confirmed that a lieutenant colonel was killed during clashes in central Gaza on Saturday evening.

Yotam Itzhak Peled, 34, from Rosh Haayin, served as a logistics officer with the 8119th Battalion.

The number of IOF casualties rose to 691 since October 7, with 331 deaths occurring since the start of the ground operation on October 27.

According to the IOF, 4,327 soldiers have been injured since the beginning of the assault on Gaza.

Of these, 642 are in critical condition, 1,090 have sustained moderate injuries, and 2,595 have suffered minor injuries.
